Two San Bernardino School Employees Charged for Over $70K Theft

SAN BERNARDINO – Two San Bernardino Unified School District employees were charged today for the theft of $71,000 worth of iPads and computer laptops, officials said.

The two employees 34-year-old Monrovia resident, Andrew Schultz, a Special Education Coordinator and 48-year-old Rancho Cucamonga resident. Eric Buries, a Psychological Services Coordinator, were each charged with one felony count of Embezzlement Exceeding $950 In Value. The wife of Andrew Schultz, Colette Schultz is also being charged with one felony count of receiving stolen property.

The thefts, according to San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Officials was committed on or between September 1, 2015, and May 31, 2016, while the two worked at the San Bernardino City Unified School District.  The two according to the release, were accused of stealing the iPads and Laptops to pawn or sell them on Craigslist.
