VICTORVILLE – Two men were injured as a result of a suspected DUI collision on Thursday. At around 4:47 p.m. a 2001 BMW, occupied by three men were driving northbound on Highway 395. Shortly after passing Palmdale Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle, skid across the number two lane and hit the curb. The force caused the vehicle to overturn several times
“The driver was ejected from the vehicle and one passenger was partially ejected,” said the Victorville Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “Both men were flown to a trauma center with major injuries. The other passenger was uninjured.” It is believed that the driver was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time of the collision. One northbound lane was closed in the area so that the investigation could be completed.
