Two teens went missing on the Kern River late Sunday morning after jumping into the river.
At around 10:40 a.m. Kern County Sheriff’s office received the report of two missing people in the Kern River at Keysville South. Through investigation, it was learned that three jumped into the river, but only one surfaced. The other two, a 15-year-old and a 19-year-old have not been seen since.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Kern Valley Search and Rescue, and the Kern County Fire Department have all participated in the search. The search efforts were suspended for the day when it became dark and the search will continue Monday morning.
