Two Women Killed in Highway 138 Crash

PINON HILLS – A traffic collision on CA-138 near Hess Road took the life of two females on Wednesday officials said. The collision was reported just after 2:00 p.m. when a green van collided with a semi-tractor trailer.

CHP officials said that according to preliminary investigation, it appears the van was heading westbound on 138 and the semi was heading eastbound. For reasons that remain under investigation one of the vehicles veered over the double yellow lines and sideswiped the other leading to the van overturning. The female occupants inside the van had to be extricated and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the San Bernardino CHP office at 909-383-4247.
