YERMO, Calif. – Authorities are asking for any information regarding an armed robbery at the Uptons Market on Tuesday.
At around 11:00 p.m., a black male wearing a dark hoodie and orange mask entered the store located at 475 E. Yermo Road in the City of Yermo. Two employees and one customer were in the store at the time of the robbery. Sheriff’s officials said that the suspect produced a black handgun and demanded that the clerk put money into a bag. The suspect took the bag of money and multiple cartons of cigarettes and fled on foot.
Deputies, air support, and a K9 unit responded to the scene to conduct an area check in search of the suspect.
