VICTORVILLE, Calif. – The victim who was assaulted and threatened with a machete by her boyfriend said that the information released by the Sheriff’s Department was “too nice”.
The victim, Brittney (whose full name will not be released) said that in the three years she was seeing 28-year-old Christian Ray Sanchez, there had been several instances of abuse. Brittney also shared that she is disabled and has been in a wheelchair due to a muscle disorder since birth.
She said that the abuse was always a result of him drinking and “blacking out”. Although she has been abused in the past, she said that she was choked and never threatened with a weapon until the morning of Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Brittney told a 24/7 Headline News reporter that Sanchez had been living with her at the time of the assault. “The abuse happens when he gets so drunk that he blacks out, he is a veteran, he went to Afghanistan. When he gets drunk he thinks he is fighting them off,” she explained. She also said that Sanchez has been diagnosed with PTSD following his service in the army.
