VICTORVILLE – An excited crowd came out to enjoy a great time while supporting High Desert Homeless Services on Saturday afternoon. Some new and some recurring guests arrived eager to play a fun dice game called Bunco. At the door, each paid their $20 donation which including a seat at a Bunco table, a pizza lunch, drinks, and plenty of desserts. The Socially Aware Serrano Students club assisted in setting up, serving the guests, and with parking.
Players eagerly awaited the remainder of the guests to show up for the game starting time at 1:30 p.m. Those who purchased raffle tickets put their tickets in the buckets of their choice in order to win one of several great prizes, including gift cards, gift baskets, camping gear, home decor items and even a pair of Disneyland tickets. The game began at 1:30 p.m. with tables full of players ready to yell out, “Bunco!”. There were plenty of “Twosies” winners who received gift cards or additional raffle tickets, and at the end, there was a prize for the $200 prize for most wins and an additional prize for the player with most losses.
Raffle time came and so many in the room won great prizes to take home. Everyone left after having a great deal of fun and knowing that their donation went to benefit High Desert Homeless Services in their mission to help homeless men, women, and children get back into permanent housing. Those who missed it did not totally miss out since there are two upcoming events, on June 10th and July 8th.
Anyone who would like to reserve their seat or if you have any other questions you can call (760)245-5991.
