VICTORVILLE – A Victorville family is asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who blatantly stole packages from the porch of their home last Wednesday.
April O’Neal lives in the area of Eagle Ranch Parkway and Red Rock Road. She said her surveillance system captured the UPS driver dropping off a package at the doorstep of her home and just two minutes after a truck pulling up into her driveway. The female passenger of the truck, walked up to the porch, casually grabbed the packages, put them in the bed of the truck and left.
“This is the third time we have had packages stolen in the last few years,” said O’Neal. “Other people in the neighborhood have experienced the same thing.” O’Neal said that the packages were her weekly “Hello Fresh” box and a package of clothing for her infant daughter. “HelloFresh was kind enough to refund my money for the week and Carter’s is re-shipping our order,” said added.
O’Neal filed a police report and they are currently investigating the theft. O’Neal said she is upset that these delivery drivers do not ring the doorbell or knock when packages are dropped off. “I work from home most of the time and don’t know when a package is delivered.”
Anyone who recognizes this woman on the surveillance captured images or has any other information that may assist in the investigation is asked to call the Victorville Police at 760.241.2911.
