VICTORVILLE – A single Victorville mother of nine is at a loss of what to do after two of her children fell ill, one suffering from Leukemia and the other suffering from complications of a liver transplant.
The mother of the children, Ramona ‘Mona’ Marks travels back and forth to two different hospitals, one in Loma Linda and the other in Los Angeles from the City of Victorville, where the family currently resides. She has difficulties getting to the hospitals to be by both of her young daughter’s sides since the family does not even own a vehicle.
For now, Ramona gets rides from or borrows a vehicle from family members. The cost of gas alone makes things nearly impossible, but being the mother of Serenity, 8, who is battling Leukemia and Harmony, 8, who is having complications from a liver transplant Ramona is unable to give up.
Ramona not only faces her daughters’ health concerns, she also is in the process of being tested for cancer. The niece of Ramona is asking for help through a Go Fund Me Account for her aunt so that she can focus solely on her and her children’s health for the time being.
