VICTORVILLE – A Victorville man who was masturbating in his vehicle as a teen boy was walking to his Victorville home has been arrested officials said.
On Monday, April 23, 2018, at around 6:50 p.m. the teen was walking near Freeport and Andrea Drives when he came upon a vehicle with a man sitting inside his vehicle masturbating. The teen said that he was asked the time as the man continued stimulating himself sexually. Fortunately, the boy captured the actions on his cell phone camera and shared the video on social media. The male teen then reported the incident, but the male suspect was no longer at the location when deputies arrived.
The following day, several public tips flooded into the Victorville Police Department, which led to the suspect being identified as Brad Winston Powell, 27. Deputies responded to his home in the 13200 block of Brighton Circle, where he was detained and interviewed at the Victorville Police Department. Powell was subsequently arrested and will be booked into the High Desert Detention Center for felony annoying or molesting a child and indecent exposure.
Authorities believe there may be additional victims and have released his booking photo for that reason. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact the Victorville Police Department, Detective S. Boydston, at (760) 241-2911.
