RIVERSIDE, CA. – A 23-year-old Victorville man was arrested for sexually assaulting women he met on dating apps.
Dajaun Jones was arrested for sexual assault and robbery after a search warrant was served on Thursday, March 17, 2022. The search warrant was the culmination of an investigation into a reported sexual assault and robbery that was reported on March 7, 2022. The investigation was led by the Riverside Police Sexual Assault -Child Abuse Unit Detectives, with the help of the METRO Team, and U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force. After contacting the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and San Bernardino Police Departments Specialized Crime Unit, it was learned that Jones was active on dating apps and social media, where he arranged meetings with the female victims.
While armed, Jones assaulted the women he met with, often targeting youth or sex workers, who he felt would be less likely to report the crime. Jones was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for Sexual Assault and Robery. He is being held in lieu of $275,000 bail. Others with additional information or who believe that they were victimized by Jones are urged to come forward.
