VICTORVILLE – A 27-year-old Victorville man was arrested for a robbery at a Victorville 7-Eleven store.
On Wednesday, May 3, 2018, at around 9:10 p.m. Travis Woods, 27, of Victorville, went into the 7-Eleven store located on the 15400 block of 7th Street. Victorville Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that while in the store, Woods placed several phone charges and headphones in his pants before paying for two other items.
After paying for only two items, Woods attempted to leave the store without paying for the phone accessories. An employee attempted to stop him, but he raised his shirt exposing a handgun, which was held in his waistband. He fled the store but was located shortly after at an apartment home on the 19200 block of Seneca Road in the City of Victorville.
Witnesses confirmed that Woods was the suspect and he was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Robbery.
