VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A Victorville man was arrested for attempted murder after choking his girlfriend and separating her from their infant child.
On Saturday, April 6, 2019, at around 9:16 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Casa Bella Apartments located in the 16900
The victim was located in the bedroom of the apartment home suffering from injuries sustained when the suspect choked her. “Deputies learned the suspect had also brandished a machete during the attack and threatened to kill the victim,” said Victorville Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “She was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated and later released.”
Sanchez was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder, Battery with Serious Bodily Injury, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Inflicting Serious Injury on a Spouse or Cohabitant, and Exhibiting a Deadly Weapon. A machete was located at the home and was placed into evidence with a tomahawk and fixed blade knife also found in the home.
