VICTORVILLE – A Victorville area transient was arrested for the for the strong-arm robbery of the OfficeMax store located in Victorville on Friday.
Deputies from the Victorville station responded to the OfficeMax located in the 12600 block of Amargosa Road for the report of the robbery. When they arrived they learned that the suspect later identified as Daniel Davilla, 31, walked into the store, grabbed a printer, and attempted to leave the store without paying. Employees attempted to stop the Davilla, but he pushed and hit the employee. The employee gained possession of the printer and the suspect fled crossing the I-15 freeway.
The suspect was located in a desert area near Cottonwood Avenue. Davilla was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery and is held in lieu of $100,000. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon. The store employee refused medical treatment.
