VICTORVILLE – A 30-year-old Victorville man is behind bars after attempting to burglarize a storage shed at the Green Tree Inn.
On Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 4:44 a.m. for the report of a burglary at the Green Tree Inn, located at 14173 Green Tree Boulevard. Odis Cox was caught by security inside the shed that stored yard tools and called 911 to report the incident. Cox was detained by the security at the scene until deputies arrived.
When deputies arrived they detained Cox and learned that he was on probation for a vehicle theft earlier this year. The vehicle theft case was filed on April 9, 2018, and Cox was sentenced to 28 days in jail, with credit for 14 days of time served. Cox was required to serve 50% of the sentence balance. He was also sentenced to 3 years of Formal Probation.
Cox was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for burglary and a probation violation.
