A Victorville man made international headlines after being arrested over the weekend in Ontario, Canada.
On Saturday, August 17, 2019, authorities and emergency medical personnel responded near Walton in Huron County for the report of an ATV crash. When they arrived they found Nicholas McCampbell and two passengers who were seriously injured after being ejected from the ATV. Both were rushed to the hospital and are expected to survive.
When police made contact with McCampbell they had reason to believe that he was under the influence of alcohol. Authorities administered a breathalyzer test on McCampbell and he failed. In addition, they learned that he had taken the ATV without permission from the owner. McCampbell was arrested for two counts of impared driving causing bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and one count of taking a vehicle without consent.
