UPLAND – Authorities have released the name of the man who was the victim of a recent fatal Upland shooting. On Saturday, May 27, 2017, just after 2:00 a.m. Brian King, a 28-year-old Victorville man was shot in a shopping center parking lot. Police were dispatched to the location in the 1300 block of East Foothill Boulevard where they located King lying on the ground near Taco King suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
King was rushed to San Antonio Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. No suspect was immediately located, but on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, Daniel James Aguilar, 27, was detained in the 100 block of East 11th Street in the City of San Bernardino, but was released just after midnight on June 2nd. The motive is unclear and the case remains under investigation. Anyone who has any information is urged to call the Upland Police at 909-931-4347.
