VICTORVILLE – A Victorville transient was arrested today for a January 12, 2018, theft at Victor Valley High School.
Officials said that on January 12, 2018, they received the report of a theft of school computer equipment worth over $6000 at the high school located in the 16500 block of Mojave Drive. The victim said that he parked his car at the school and when he returned property was missing from inside. Surveillance footage showed a male suspect, later identified as Brian Matthew Dayhoff, 49, got into a vehicle at around 7:20 p.m. Dayhoff got out of the car with property including school computer equipment.
A surveillance photo, along with suspect description was shared with the public leading to his arrest on Wednesday. Dayhoff was found to be on Post Community Release Supervision. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for grand theft and violation of parole.
