VICTORVILLE – Victorville deputies responded to the report of an armed robbery at a motel near Mojave and Village Drive Tuesday morning. Per scanner traffic just after 2:30 a.m. a male subject was sitting in his vehicle in the Sunset Inn parking lot when a black man with a silver handgun demanded that he emptied his pockets.
The victim complied with the suspect’s demands handing over $100 in cash. The suspect is described to be driving a silver Chevy Cavalier and was accompanied by a black female passenger. The reporting party told deputies that the vehicle headed eastbound on Mojave and North on Village.
Deputies were given the license plate number and as of 2:42 a.m. are conducting an extensive area check. The story is still developing at this time, information will be updated as it becomes available.
