HESPERIA, Ca. – The man and woman found deceased in a Hesperia home on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, are believed to be murdered by the same suspect wanted for another murder.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at around 6:03 p.m., deputies responded to a home in the 9000 block of C Avenue to check on the occupants of the home. When they arrived the located the deceased man and woman inside the home, authorities said. Through investigation, the victims, Jason Culberson, 43, and Melissa Graetz, 37, both of Hesperia, are believed to be deceased as a result of the actions of Phillip Williamson.
Authorities have released a 2017 booking photo (photo #1) but friends of another Hesperia woman murdered by Williamson provided a more recent photo (photo #2). On August 30, 2019, Apple Valley deputies began the search for Williamson after he robbed an elderly man for cash and a gun after murdering Brandi Jones. Jones’ body was located in a dirt field near Wisconsin Street. Investigators believe that Williamson may have shaved his head and/or facial hair to change his appearance.
On September 9, 2019, a fire erupted on the 20100 block of Wisconsin, where the strong-armed robbery occurred on August 30th. “Bomb and Arson Investigators responded to the fire and determined it to be an Arson,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said. “Investigators believe Phillip Williamson may be connected to the arson.”
Williamson is still yet to be arrested and should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 6’01” tall, weighing 210 pounds, and has brown hair or a shaved head with hazel eyes.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately call 911.
