SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – A 27-year-old Hemet woman was arrested for pimping a 15-year-old girl.
Authorities were contacted by investigators with the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, with information regarding a possible juvenile victim being trafficked from the Ontario area. San Bernardino Task Force members began the investigation on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. Investigators responded to a motel, located in the 1400 block of E. 4th Street in response to the information they received.
Through investigation, an internet escort advertisement, believed to be advertising the victim for prostitution. “An undercover operation was initiated by the San Bernardino County Task Force to contact and rescue the victim,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said. “During the operation, a second female was identified as possibly being involved with the victim. With the assistance of officers from the Ontario Police Department, Task Force members contacted and detained the minor victim as well as the second female, later identified as Christina Lister.” The Task Force investigators determined that the teen victim was part of the commercial sex industry and was being trafficked by Lister.
The teen was rescued and transported to a local hospital by ambulance for evaluation. She was later released to the custody of the San Bernardino County Department of Family Services. Lister was interviewed by investigators and subsequently arrested for Pandering and Human Trafficking of a Minor. She was booked at the West Valley Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
