APPLE VALLEY – A 26-year-old Redlands woman who was walking to her friend’s home on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at around 4:04 a.m. was the victim to an armed robbery.
Authorities report that they responded to the intersection of Rock Springs and Deep Creek Roads in Apple Valley for the report of a robbery. The victim told them that she was approached by several subjects who punched her in the face and stabbed her in her rib cage. The woman awoke on the ground where she believes that she had passed out following the attack. She realized that money and her necklace had been stolen by the assailants. The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The investigation is ongoing.
