REDLANDS, Calif. – A Redlands woman was arrested for attacking her aunt with a hammer while she slept on Monday.
The assault was reported at around 9:30 a.m. The victim, her 55-year-old aunt reported that her niece, Ashley Lynn Wade, 28, who lives with her in the 900
The victim was rushed to the hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officers and a sheriff’s helicopter attempted to locate Wade but were unable to. Wade returned home at around 2:30 p.m. and started banging on the windows to get in police officials said. When police arrived, they located Wade hiding in the neighbor’s backyard.
Wade was arrested for Attempted Murder and was booked at the West Valley Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
