RIVERSIDE – A woman reported a near kidnapping on Market Street near the river bottom bridge on Sunday morning. At around 6:15 a.m. the woman called 911 to report the incident. She told police that she was walking just north of Rivera Street, when a black truck with two Hispanic men pulled up. The two men engaged her in conversation. The passenger got out of the vehicle, grabbed the woman, and attempted to pull her into the truck. The woman was able to free herself and run from the men.
Authorities said that the suspect who attempted to grab the woman was described as a 20-30-year-old Hispanic man who is 5’10”, 180 pounds, with long black hair in a ponytail. The woman was unable to get a good visual on the driver and was only able to describe him as a Hispanic male. The suspect vehicle was described as a small single cab older black truck, possibly a Toyota. The vehicle was described to be in good condition.
