SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Sacramento woman was arrested after stabbing the father of her three children during a domestic dispute on Saturday.
Authorities said that they received a report just after 11:00 p.m. stating that a male was stabbed in the 5400 block of Wardell Way. Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the location and learned that the victim had been transported to a local hospital by a witness. While officers remained at the scene, additional officers responded to the hospital to make contact with the victim, who they learned was a black man in his 30’s. The victim sustained a stab wound to his upper torso. Although the medical staff attempted to save his life, he died as a result of his injuries.
Through investigation, it was learned that the male victim was in a domestic dispute with the live-in mother of his three children. Lagette Johnson.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to take over the investigation. During the investigation, detectives learned a domestic dispute between took place between the male victim and the live-in mother of his three children, Lagette Johnson. Johnson stabbed the victim causing the life-threatening injury. Johnson was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for voluntary manslaughter. The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
