YUCAIPA – A great-grandmother was arrested for child abuse after she was witnessed “excessively disciplining” her small great-grandchild inside a vehicle on Monday.
On Monday, September 25, 2017, at around 12:22 p.m. a reporting party called 911 to report possible child abuse in the AM/PM parking lot located at 31340 Yucaipa Boulevard.
The witness reported the incident and Linda Allen, 68, of Yucaipa, became upset and fled the area, leaving the child’s mother behind. A deputy with the Yucaipa Station made contact with the witnesses and the family. A detective and Child and Family Services interviewed the family and Allen was subsequently arrested for child abuse.
