YUCAIPA, Ca. – A Yucaipa man dies after being struck by a car during an argument and a Yucaipa woman is now behind bars facing murder charges.
On Friday, July 19, 2019, at around 1:35 a.m., deputies responded to the report of a man being struck by a vehicle. When they arrived they located the victim, 54-year-old, Donald Parkerson lying in the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries. Witnesses told responding deputies that 48-year-old Lorene Ceci was involved in an argument with the occupants in his home. Parkerson exited his home and continued arguing with Ceci, who remained sitting in her vehicle. She accelerated and ran over the victim before fleeing.
Emergency Medical Personnel responded to transport Parkerson to a local hospital. At around 5:30 p.m. deputies received the report of a suspicious person in the 12100 block of 7th Street. The subject was identified as Lorene Ceci. Ceci was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Attempted murder.
On Monday, July 22, 2019, Donald Parkerson died as a result of his injuries at the hospital. As a result, Lorene Ceci was booked for Murder.
