FALFURRIAS, TX – Fifteen Chinese nationals were caught during a smuggling attempt into the United States through a Rio Grande Valley border crossing.
On Saturday, March 23, 2019, Custom Border Patrol (CBP) agents who were working at the Falfurrias Checkpoint referred a tractor trailer to the secondary inspection area after a K-9 alerted to the cargo area. Agents discovered fifteen people from China hidden within the cargo.
The driver was arrested and escorted into the checkpoint. All of the people being smuggled into the United States were processed accordingly.
