Dispute Between Two Elderly Maryland Women Turns Deadly

BLADENSBURG, Ca. – A 73-year-old Maryland woman was arrested for the killing of an 82-year-old woman, police said.

Prince George’s County Police (PGCP) Homicide Unit charged Chun Yong Oh of the killing of her neighbor in the 5900 block of Emerson Street in the Town of Bladensburg.

The neighbor was identified as Hwa Cha Pak. On September 8, 2019, at around 7:15 a.m., Oh called the police after killing her neighbor after a verbal dispute that turned physical when Oh grabbed a brick striking Pak several times. Officers arrived at the apartment complex and located the victim suffering from upper body trauma in the garden behind the building, police said. Pak was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oh was arrested and was charged with first and second-degree murder. She is being held in jail without bail.
