Thousands of Safety First Step and Go Travel Systems Recalled

Approximately 20,000 Safety 1st Step and Go Travel Systems sold in the United States are being recalled due to a possible fall hazard, officials said. The stroller tray folding mechanism reportedly partially disengages on one side when used with the infant car seat causing a potential fall hazard. These strollers were distributed by Dorel Juvenile and were made in China.

The affected strollers have a step-to-open design that opens by stepping on a pedal and comes in many colors with the OnBoard 35 infant car seat. On the front stroller tray, “Safety 1st” is imprinted. The model can be found on a white label on the back of the stroller seat, the affected model is TR314.

Although there are no reported injuries to date, there are 30 reports of the front stroller tray, used to support the infant car seat disengaging on one side. Those who own this stroller should stop using it immediately and should call Safety 1st for a free repair kit.
