SAN PEDRO, Calif. – A 27-year-old man was charged with the rape and robbery of a 61-year-old woman in her San Pedro home.
Prosecutors said that the woman was opening her front door on March 5th, when Davon Thomas, of Perris, grabbed her from behind and pushed her into her home. When the two were inside the home, Thomas sexually assaulted the woman and subsequently threatened to kill her as he demanded money.
Thomas is now facing two felony counts of sexual penetration by use of force as well as one felony count each of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, criminal threats, first-degree burglary with a person present and first-degree residential robbery. Deputy District Attorney Kelly Kelley said the charges include allegations of causing great bodily injury and of two prior convictions for robbery in 2018.
If convicted as charged, Thomas can face 385 years to life in prison. He is currently being held without bail.
