SANTA CLARITA – A 72-year-old man, who served seven years in a Louisiana prison for two rapes in 1971 was sentenced on Wednesday to 520 years in prison for molesting a 9-year-old girl.
After a six-day-long trial, the jury came back with a guilty verdict on four counts each of lewd act upon a child and oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger and one count of forcible oral copulation, victim under 14 years old on October 12, 2016.
Between January 1, 2015, and June 30, 2015, according to court testimony, John Adam Whitsell sexually abused the girl who was a family member, while be babysat her in her Canyon Country home.
