UPDATE: Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the active shooter report and did a quick and immediate preliminary search of the YouTube Headquarters building. During the search, a female suspect was located in the business with appeared to be a self-inflicted. Three other victims also suffered gunshot wounds and were transported with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time. Two of the three victims were located in a different business and one near the front of the business. Authorities are now conducting a “slower methodical” search in order to collect evidence.
SAN BRUNO – Calls flooded into 911 reporting that shots were being fired at the YouTube Headquarters, located near Cherry Avenue and Bay Hill Driver in the City of San Bruno Tuesday afternoon. Little is known at this time, but emergency personnel has responded to the scene shortly after 1:20 p.m.
Employees are reportedly hunkering down in barricaded offices while others run through the interior of the building where multiple shots were reported. Some have self-evacuated to other nearby buildings in order to avoid at least one shooter. Witnesses at the scene are reporting via social media, some reporting that at that at least four are injured and were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
No suspect has been identified or arrested at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
