PEORIA, AZ. – A non-profit youth basketball coach was arrested on Friday, August 23, 2019, after being accused of sexually abusing several children.
The training program called “Underground Basketball” trains children interested in playing basketball. Four victims, some only 8-years-old when the abuse began, said that they were sexually abused, by Holland “Mutt” Woods. The abuse included sexual intercourse and other abuse of the children which lasted several years.
The investigation led to the arrest of Woods at his Peoria, Arizona home. Woods faces dozens of charges related to the accusations including sex with a minor, sexual abuse, sexual assault, aggravated assault, sex trafficking, kidnapping, and sexual exploitation of a minor. Peoria did not release any additional information explaining the charges.
