POMONA, Ca. – The Pomona Police made a horrible incident just a little bit better for a Pomona boy.
On Thursday, August 22, 2019, Alcott Elementary school student was the victim of a robbery. The victim reported to police that he was walking to school when three high-school aged suspects pushed the victim and stole his cell phone. Police located the thieves and placed them under arrest.
Officers went to the victim’s home to return his cell phone and could see that the boy was still visibly upset. “The victim’s mother does not own a vehicle and the victim said he is afraid to walk to and from school,” Pomona Police officials said. “Pomona Police Officers’ Association Member and School Resource Officer D. Hernandez asked The Pomona Police Officers Association to assist with providing him with a bicycle, a helmet, and a security lock for his new bicycle.” Officer Hernandez surprised the boy with his new bicycle and helmet on Friday afternoon.
