CORONA – A 32-year-old Corona man was struck and killed by a West Corona Amtrak train on Tuesday morning. At around 7:15 a.m. the Corona Police Department and Fire Department were dispatched to the Metrolink train station located at 155 Auto Center Drive in the City of Corona for a man being struck by a train. When they arrived they located the man underneath the train.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Through investigation, it was learned that the man intentionally placed himself in front of the moving train as it passed through the area. The man was determined to be Frank J. Valdez.
