CORONA – A 22-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male juvenile, both of Corona were arrested in connection with the death of an infant found dead near the 15 freeway and Cajalco Road.
The discovery of the deceased baby was reported at around 2:36 p.m. on July 27, 2018. Corona Police arrived at the location of the infant and confirmed that the baby was deceased. The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner responded to the scene to collect the body and determine the cause of death. The cause of death was not determined, but on December 6, 2018, Baby Jane Doe was buried at the Sunnyslope Cemetery in the City of Corona. Individuals who had information about the case contacted police detectives leading to the identification of a male and female who may have been involved in the death of the infant girl.
On December 7, 2018, detectives interview Shawna Andrich, 22, and a 17-year-old male were interviewed and subsequently arrested for murder. Andritch was arrested on December 7th and on December 12th, the juvenile male was arrested. The case has been referred to the Riverside County Attorney’s office for prosecution.
