EL MIRAGE, Ca. – Authorities are investigating the stabbing death of a 30-year-old El Mirage man.
On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at around 1:00 a.m. deputies responded to the Kaiser Permanente parking lot, located on Park Avenue for the report for a man who was bleeding.The man, identified as Sonny Crawford, had been driven to the facility by his family for treatment. When deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived they found that Crawford was suffering from a stab wound. Crawford was rushed to a local hospital by an ambulance, but died as a result of his injury.
Detectives responded to conduct a death investigation. Through investigation it was learned that the victim armed himself with a kitchen knife while in a physical altercation with a man at the home in the 17000 block of County Road. During the fight the victim was stabbed.
No arrests have been made; upon completion of the investigation, the report will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
