NEWHALL – A Santa Clarita man faces over five years in prison for stealing thousands of dollars while working as a Brinks security guard.
Julio Cesar Jimenez, 35, allegedly stole money that was meant to be delivered to a Newhall Wells Fargo Bank ATM, LA County District Attorney’s officials said. The complaint indicates that Jimenez stole the money on November 28, 2017, and then allegedly set fire to the ATM machine on December 1, 2017.

As a result of the incident, Jimenez was arrested on February 15, 2018, after being hired as a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department recruit. He now faces one felony count each of grand theft, arson of property of another and vandalism over $400.
