Lakewood High School Teacher Convicted of 3-Year Sexual Relationship with Student

LAKEWOOD – A woman who was a former Lakewood High School teacher was convicted of sexually abusing a 15-year-old student district attorney officials said.

The teacher was engaged in the three-year sexual relationship which began in July 2008. In 2017, the victim, now an adult reported the sexual abuse to authorities.

Mary Jahn, 53, pleaded no contest to one count of lewd act upon a child on Friday, November 9, 2018. Jahn is expected to be sentenced on November 30, 2018, and will face three years in state prison. In addition, Jahn will be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of her life.
