EL MIRAGE – A LoJack hit led authorities to a El Mirage Chop Shop on Thursday night.
At around 11:00 p.m. Sheriff’s Aviation received LoJack hit in the 2400 block of Egert Road. The San Bernardino County Auto Theft Task Force (SANCATT) responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. Sheriff’s deputies obtained and executed a search warrant.
Evidence at the location led investigators to the determination that the location was a chop shop. Thirty-two stolen vehicles have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
