FOREST GROVE, OR. – A Forest Grove, Oregon man faked a residential burglary to cover up his theft of his daughter’s Girl Scout cookie money.
On March 6, 2019, at around 9:53 a.m., Brian Couture called 911 to report that an unknown subject had entered his home through the sliding glass door of his home and a struggle occurred. He said that the suspects fled the home before officers arrived. An extensive search using a K9 was conducted and the alleged suspect was not found. On March 18, 2019, Forest Grove Police arrested Couture, 40, for initiating a false report, and theft in the 2nd degree, both misdemeanors. Couture was booked at the Washington County Jail.
