RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – A 24-year-old Rancho Cucamonga men
Adam Hughes was left to watch his girlfriend’s children on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Kylee Willis, has Down’s Syndrome. Authorities said that Kylee interrupted Hughes during the night, which angered him. He assaulted the small child, then put her in her bed.
Hours later, Hughes noticed that Kylee was unresponsive and that her lips and fingers had turned blue. Hughes called his girlfriend, Corrine Blake for help. She called 911 at around 7:56 p.m. Kylee Willis was rushed to San Antonio Medical Center, and subsequently airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center for treatment for severe head trauma.
Kylee Willis remained on life support for several days and on March 29, 2019, she died as a result of her injuries inflicted by Hughes.
Both Hughes and Corrine Blake were arrested for Willful Cruelty to a Child on March 27, 2019. Blake posted bail on March 28, 2019, and was released from custody. On March 29, 2019, Hughes was charged for murder. He is now being held without bail and is scheduled to appear at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
