EL CENTRO – A suspected murderer out of Guanajuato, Mexico was arrested by El Centro Border Patrol agents on Thursday, January 12, 2017. At around 6:15 p.m. agents assigned to the El Centro Station arrested the man for illegally entering the United States CBP officials said. The man was transported to the station for processing.
The following evening, the El Centro Sector Foreign Operations Branch (FOB) notified the El Centro Station that the 23-year-old Mexican national had an outstanding warrant for homicide. The man was turned over to Mexican authorities at around 8:30 p.m. at the Calexico Port of Entry. “It is constant vigilance that enables our hard-working agents to carry out their duties and effect this type of arrest,” said Rodney S. Scott, Chief Patrol Agent.
