EWING, NJ. – Officers from the Ewing Police Department responded to a party with nearly 50 attendees on Friday night.
At around 11:44 p.m. police responded to an apartment home in the 300 block of Concord Avenue in the City of Ewing for the report of a party during a “Stay at Home” order. When they arrived they found the large gathering inside an apartment that the renter called a “Corona Party”. Wade E. Jackson, the 47-year-old renter was advised that he was in violation of the governor’s executive order. Jackson ended the party as a result of the notice. He was issued a summons for Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function and Violation of Emergency and Temporary Acts.
The governor’s executive order clearly states that gatherings including parties, social events, and other celebrations are to be cancelled. Authorities are asking for residents to report any large gatherings to the Ewing Police Department at 609-882-1313.
