TEMECULA – The driver of a white sedan was transported to an area hospital after crashing into a Temecula home late Monday morning. Just after 11:30 a.m. emergency personnel responded to the 41000 block of 5th Street for the report of a vehicle into a home.
Firefighters were the first to arrive to find the vehicle into the left side exterior garage wall of the single-family single-story home. The remainder of the home was not damaged, leaving the home fully habitable. As a precaution, the gas and electricity were shut off at the home. “Once the vehicle has been removed Southern California Gas Company will check to see if the gas line has been compromised,” Cal Fire officials said. The driver of the vehicle is being treated for minor injuries as a result of the collision. No other injuries have been reported.
