Police Officer Arrested for Sexual Abuse of Girls in Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario
RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A Whittier Police Department officer, who is a Rancho Cucamonga resident and his wife were arrested as a result of the molestation of two girls.
On Monday, August 6, 2018, the Whittier Police Department notified the Rancho Cucamonga Police Station about the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl that occurred in the City of Rancho Cucamonga in April 2018. Detectives interviewed the victim and her mother in Whittier. Detectives determined that the suspect was 54-year-old Francisco “Frank” Igros. The investigation also revealed the there was at least one additional victim. As a result of the investigation, the Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detail assumed the investigation.
The second victim, a 15-year-old girl, was interviewed by CAC. The second victim told authorities that she was sexually molested by Igros in the City of Ontario. It was learned that the first victim was molested in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Detectives learned that Lora Nagy, 41, of Rancho Cucamonga, was aware of the sexual abuse but failed to report it.
On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, Igros was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center. On Thursday, August 9, 2018, Nagy was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center. Igros is facing four counts of Lewd Acts with a Child and Penetration of a Minor Under 10. He is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. Nagy was arrested for Child Endangerment and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
