LOS ANGELES – Like father, like son, a family tradition continues as one career is at its end, and the other has just begun. Sergeant Marc Saunders recently retired from the Walnut Diamond Bar Station and his son, Michael Lee is in his last phase of training for the South Los Angeles Station.
Sergeant Saunders worked for over 31 years beginning his patrol career in the 80’s and 90’s, at the same station his son is working for.
On Sunday, July 24th Sergeant Saunders not only went back to his roots but also was able to work his final shift with his son at the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station.
Sergeant Saunders was not the first in their family to work in the South Los Angeles Station area. His son, Michael will be the 3rd in their family with Sergeant Saunders step-father, Tom Pulce also working there in the 70’s.
