San Diego Police Seeking Additional Victims of Sexual Assault Suspect

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Authorities are seeking any additional victims of a San Diego County sexual assault suspect who has allegedly committed these offenses from 2015 to 2019.

On March 21, 2019, Juan Carlos “JC” Cordero, 35, was arrested for multiple sexual assaults which occurred in San Diego County. Although Cordero remains in custody with $2 million bail, authorities would like to locate any additional victims. Cordero introduced himself to the young woman as “JC”. He is Hispanic, 35-years-old, 6’0”, around 185 pounds, with neck-length brown hair, and was usually unshaven.

Cordero typically met his victims, who were intoxicated women near bars and nightclubs. He would convince the women to go back to his apartment/hotel where he would sexually assault them. He also met several women via online dating apps like “Plenty of Fish” and Craigslist where he meets them, has them consume alcohol and/or drugs, then sexually assaults them. He is also known to videotape the victims before or during the sexual assault.

The cases involving Cordero were reported in San Diego and other parts of the Southern California region.
