CORONA – Parents and students were concerned after hearing rumors of an active shooter at Santiago High School in the City of Corona on Wednesday morning.
The Corona Police were made aware of the concerns stemming from rumored online threats. “We have been actively working with CNUSD officials to identify the source of the rumor, which has since been discredited,” Corona Police officials said.
Police are on the Santiago Campus for an unrelated meeting with administrators for an upcoming event. The Corona Police Department have expressed that there is no need to be alarmed as the investigation will remain ongoing.
